MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING

The minutes of the previous meeting on 20 February 2007 having been circulated were passed as a true record of events by Cllr Weir and seconded by Cllr Blackmore and signed by the Vice Chairman Cllr McNulty

MATTERS ARISING

·Website

Cllr McEwan was not present.Discuss at next meeting.

·School Playing Field

School were concerned with some of the proposals as they felt raising some areas might make blind spots, which would make it difficult to see the children.Next stage is the planning and the costing and meeting the School Eco Committee.

·Information Board

Secretary had an answer phone message from Guy Campbell who apologised for not being in touch as he had been away but he would be sending some information etc for the CC to look at to give us more ideas.

·KCC Newsletter

Minor changes to be made to the newsletter before it is copied.Thank you to Cllr Hanson for dedicating his time into producing this.Agreed that members of the CC will deliver to households as was done in the past with the survey.

·AGM & Election Nomination Forms

AGM will be held on 22 May.Secretary had copied the nomination forms, which will be available from 17 April 2007 from Jenny Flannigan.

·Treasurer

The grant this financial year from SBC will be £615.The KCC account has £959 and the book account currently stands at £858.Accounts will be prepared for being sent to the accountants shortly in time for the AGM.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

The entrance to the Fleming property at Linton has been moved by the council to the existing entrance, rather than create a new entrance.

The roads department are also looking at the possibility of erecting larger signs at Linton Bridge.They are also about to begin consulting with residents in Morebattle regarding the new footpath on Main Street.When digging at the top of Main Street, the new replacement tar appears to be sinking, which will need to be discussed with the roads department.
