The minutes of the previous meeting on 21 February 2006 having been circulated were passed as a true record of events by Cllr Blackmore and seconded by Cllr McNulty and signed by the Chairman.
Pruning of the trysting tree has been done.Clock is to be replaced as cannot be repaired.£500 is in the Institute funds for this and is being dealt with by Mary Pringle who will keep the CC updated.KCC put forward the idea to have a notice board in the garden of Institute with information on the village and walks for visitors.There could be funding available from SBC for this.The Institute committee would discuss this idea at their next meeting.
Revised questionnaire had been received.Some of the questions are still too long.A few changes were suggested and agreed that the questionnaire should be ready for the next meeting so could begin distributing them.
AGM will be 23 May 2006.Nomination forms will be available from 18 April 2006 and be completed by 02 May 2006.Nominations could be withdrawn by 09 May 2006 and election will take place on 23 May 2006.Mrs Flannigan has agreed to be returning officer.

Letter from Kelso Health Centre - Services at Morebattle surgery will be reduced to Tuesday’s only following death of Dr Sutherland.ACTION:Secretary to write asking if this only temporary measure and hopes full service will be resumed.
Concern over dog fouling at Heughhead.ACTION: Cllr Blackmore to contact SBC
Road matters.Member of public raised concern about lack of a pavement to the school as the children have to walk around cars on to the road.Also the 20mph signs at the school have still not been put up.Potholes were discussed at Pikings to Corbett road, and from Otterburn corner to Morebattle road.ACTION:Chairman to contact Ronnie Pattenden from council to try and get a site visit to point out these concerns.
Changes to the bus times to the village were discussed, as there was no notice to change of times.CC enquired about getting new bus timetables sent to the shop for the village.Cllr A Nicol would enquire at the council about the bus services.
