My name is Vanessa Burke, and I own Culbertson's Store and am manager of the Post Office in Morebattle.

I'm sure you are well aware of the proposal to close our Post Office, which will also close our store! Well, I think that it is time to do something about this.

First, I am asking everyone to write to Post Office Ltd, and say that the proposed outreach service is unacceptable, and that the current Post Office should be kept open.

Second, I have a petition which I hope everyone in the area will sign, so we can take this to the public meeting on the 16th of September, where we meet representatives from Post Office Ltd to hand over to them. We will need as many signatures as possible, so please come to Culbertson's Store and sign away. Every little thing we do will help!
