FESTIVAL WEEK EVENTS 2009

The Sashing of the Games Queen 2009 will take place during the service in Morebattle Church on Sunday 19th July at 11:15am.

Saturday 1st August 1pm

Boys and girls Five-a-side football competition at school playfield
Age groups Under 14 and 14 and over. Names to Eric Mc Nulty by Thursday 30^th July

Sunday 2nd August 2pm

Family day at the school playfield.
Races, team games, welly throwing and penalty kick and Boules (new this year). Tombola stand (donations gratefully received) refreshments .ect.

Monday 3rd August

Coffee evening in the Village Hall at 7pm
Sales table, raffle, competitions ect.

Quiz in the Templehall Lounge at 8:30pm.

Tuesday 4th August

Camera Club exhibition in Institute 2 -4 pm & 6 – 8pm
Teas & Raffle.

Rag Bag Morris Dancers at Templehall from 7:30pm

Wednesday 5th August

Whist & Dominoes in the Village Hall
7pm for 7:30pm Admission £1.50 includes supper.

Thursday 6th August

Children’s Egg Hunt & Teddy Bears picnic at School Playfield
Age under 6’s 2:30pm (Bring your own Teddy bear)
Treasure hunt for 6 – 12yrs at 2:30pm

Pet show at School Playfield at 6:30pm.
Classes:- (1) Large Dog, (2) Small Dog, (3) Small pet other than dog (4) Rescued Pet (5) Owner most Like their pet.

Pool Competition at the Templehall, entries on the night start at 7:30pm

Friday 7th August

Fancy Dress parade judging at school playfield at 6:30pm prompt
(if raining at 6pm – judging in Templehall Lounge at 6:30pm)
Classes:- Children 7 and under, Children 8 – 16yrs, Children’s groups 0 – 16,
Individual adults, mixed group 2 or more.  Cup for best overall entrant.
Parade with Ale Valley Pipe Band to follow at 7pm aprox.

Family Disco at Templehall Lounge thereafter.
Presentations of cups and results of Scarecrow Competition 8pm.

Saturday 8th August

Morebattle Games at Morebattle Tofts 1:30pm
