Matters Arising from Actions 17 July 2018

Insurance

Ongoing enquiries re: Resilience Group and Morebattle ride-out. Yetholm has also been charged and has paid for both ride-out and resilience. Suggestion that Cllr Murray should contact Jim Fraser at Sprouston. Secretary to go back to insurers. Cllr Henderson to follow up issue with SBC Network.

Parking Issues

Ongoing problem of cars parked on advisory white line at the entrance to Mainsfield Avenue creating a problem for traffic entering Mainsfield Avenue. Cllr Hall offered to approach the owners directly to discuss the issue.

Scottish Land Fund

Community Council pleased to note both applications have been successful, and wishes to acknowledge huge amount of work done by both groups.

BC Local Community Path Maintenance Grants for Community Councils
Small grants of  450 pounds for local path maintenance available  - this could cover strimmer money and insurance (if necessary).

Music Festival proposal

Cllr Hall has been approached with a proposal for small classical music festival by Helen Duncan. An in depth proposal will be brought to the CC at the next meeting. Cllr Hall queried whether this could be funded via the Localities Bid Fund.
